인류의 발생에서부터 관계가 있는 운동, 스포츠, 체육의 변화에 대하여 안목을 기르도록 탐구하는 교과목으로,시대별, 문명권별로 다양한 형태를 보여온 스포츠에 대한 이해를 촉진하고자 하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 또한스포츠의 역사를 바라봄으로서 인간사회에서 스포츠의 역할에 대하여 폭넓게 이해하도록 학습하고자 한다.
교과목해설(영문)
This course is designed to cultivate an eye for developments in sports, the physical activity of which history extends back to the earliest human. The purpose of this class is to promote an understanding of sports that have been shown in various forms by times and civilizations. In addition, by exploring the history of sports, the class will encourage students to broadly understand the role of sports in human society.
